Darkest Wonder is the solo exploration of Texas - based guitarist and multi instrumentalist Barry Walker.
A lifelong blues musician, Walker has a B.S. and an M.S. in Environmental Studies, and has worked as a Naturalist, and as a Wilderness Ranger in the western United States.
Darkest Wonder's name originates from Walker's experience of rumination on the nature of mortality while processing the grief of a close personal loss.
These threads weave through the music, as utilizing numerous techniques, instruments, loops and devices, Darkest Wonder seeks to explore the interchange of beauty, harmony, grief and loss, dissonance, and metamorphosis, and to inquire about the human experience.
Walker has performed or collaborated with artists ranging from Gary Clark, Jr., to Bonnie "Prince" Billy.
